This major Berthoud remodel reshaped how this 10,000 square foot home lives and functions, with more than 7,000 square feet thoughtfully updated across the main floor and exterior. From the beginning, the homeowners knew the house had potential, but the layout and finishes no longer worked for how they used the space day to day.

Inside, the main floor was reworked to correct several awkward transitions, especially near the front door where the layout felt disjointed. Walls were removed and repositioned to improve flow and create spaces that feel more connected and intuitive. The front entry was completely redesigned, turning what was once a confusing arrival into a welcoming and functional introduction to the home.

Much of the interior update focused on refreshing dated 1990s wood details. These elements were replaced with a cleaner, more modern wood style that still maintains warmth and character. Three fireplaces were fully replaced and finished with new surrounds, creating intentional focal points that better suit the scale of the home and tie each space together.
